Projects to deliver LAA in areas of highest need under way
District Local Strategic Partnerships
(LSPs) have started the delivery of their Areas of Highest Need
projects, after the first half of Worcestershire’s reward grant
funding became available in April. Three million pounds has been
committed by the Worcestershire Partnership to help local partners
to deliver the Local Area Agreement (LAA) in some of
Worcestershire’s most deprived neighbourhoods.
Colleagues from all six districts have been
working hard for almost a year to develop their wide-ranging and
ambitious projects. More recently, Improvement Advisors from
Improvement & Efficiency West Midlands have been providing
additional support to each district LSP and a number of the
Worcestershire Partnership theme groups have welcomed district LSP
coordinators to their meetings to make sure that all the right
people are informed and involved.
An online Community of Practice has
recently been launched to help partners keep up to date on the
progress of projects, to discuss challenges and share successes.
