Welcome to Worcestershire Compact
"Your guide to modern working
with the Voluntary and Community Sector!"
The Worcestershire Compact is a commitment between the Statutory
Sector and Voluntary and Community Sector in Worcestershire which
aims to ensure we work better together.
Background
The Worcestershire Compact was originally created after broad
discussion and consultation with voluntary and community sector
representatives and was adopted by the Worcestershire Partnership Board. It was
officially launched in June 2008 and signed up to by all members of the
Worcestershire Partnership.
The work to develop the Worcestershire Compact is undertaken
through the Worcestershire Compact Steering Group, made up
of representatives from both the statutory and voluntary and
community sectors. These organisations work closely to raise
awareness of and implement the Compact. A successful Compact
ensures equity between the sectors when working in partnerships, to
ensure better outcomes for local communities in Worcestershire.
The Worcestershire Compact Steering Group is currently working
to an
action plan agreed for the 2009-2011 period. This identifies
specific tasks to achieve the overall aim of embedding a successful
Compact to bring about long-term change.

The full Worcestershire Compact is available to download and you
can find the supporting codes of practice within the Compact web
