Local Enterprise Partnership

The 'Worcestershire Works' proposal for the county to become a Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) in its own right was submitted to the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills after consultation with many local companies, business representatives and partners, and approved in December 2010.

For full details, please visit the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership website.

The submission highlighted Worcestershire's unique nature as a county with both rural and urban characteristics, allowing it to operate in partnership with neighbouring LEPs while also responding to its own individual needs and opportunities with appropriate expertise and understanding.

The initial Worcestershire Works Local Enterprise Partnership Proposal (September 2010) document was complemented by an addendum in December, which clinched the approval.
