Structure
In 2009/10 the Worcestershire Partnership went through a review
of its governance and accountability arrangements. In
early 2011 some of the proposals coming out of this
review were put in place and the partnership has been
restructured to focus on delivering Worcestershire's Sustainable Community Strategy.
The Worcestershire Partnership Board
has been dissolved and a new Board established.
Membership of the Board has been streamlined to help ensure this
group is the strategic body of the partnership and develops the
vision for Worcestershire. Details of the membership of this group and
meeting papers are available online.
The Public Services Executive Group is primarily
concerned with public sector resources. Its senior
membership will agree and champion joint working across public
services. This will include co-ordinating discussions and
decisions relating to public sector budgets, leading the
delivery of Total Place workstreams (or any successor programme
decided by the new government) and managing any 'single
budget' for Worcestershire that may be proposed by the
government.
The Theme Groups are the 'engine rooms' of the
partnership and are responsible for turning strategy into practice.
As a part of the review of the structures of the
partnership, theme groups will also be examined to establish
the most efficient form of delivery of the partnership's
vision, taking into account the
revised Worcestershire Sustainable Community
Strategy.
