Health Improvement
Fund



The Worcestershire Partnership
launched the £1million Health Improvement Fund in September 2008 to
help delivery of core Health Improvement targets in the 2008-11
LAA. Funding was made available to support initiatives which
encourage and enable healthier lifestyles against the following
targets:
- NI8 - Increase adult participation in
sport
- NI39 - Reduce the number of people admitted
to hospital because of injuries caused by alcohol
- NI56 - Reduce obesity among primary school
children
- NI110 - Increase the opportunities for young people to
take part in positive activities
- NI112 - Reduce the number of under 18's falling
pregnant
- NI121 - Reduce the number of deaths from circulatory
diseases amongst under 75s
- NI123 - Reduce the number of people who smoke
