Status

Grey circle with question mark to showing the status of the indicator to show how the significance of the environment has changed the behaviour of 2007 Citizens Panel respondents not known.

The status of this indicator is unknown, as reliable baseline data has not previously been available. However, as of 2008/09, the State of the Environment Group have secured a number of questions within the Citizens' Panel which should enable this indictor to be populated. The Citizens' Panel is a survey organised by Worcestershire County Council, in conjunctions with the worcestershire Partnerhsip and District Councils. The survey is sent annually to 2000 Worcestershire residents in order to learn their views on a variety of issues. A series of environmental questions have been included which should provide a measure of thos things people feel are most important in the natural and historic environment. The results of the survey should be avaioable by August 2009, and it is anticipated that this indicator will be populated in autumn/Winter 2009. Although it cannot be guaranteed, it is hoped that the environmental questions can be repeated in subsequent Citizens' Panel surveys - if not annually, then at least bi-annually. This will allow us to cahrt any change in attitudes over time.
