Trains

Worcestershire is connected by train to most parts of Great Britain. The main routes can be found here.

Times of trains in and from Worcestershire can be found by visiting http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

The British railway network is operated by a number of different private companies, but it is still possible to buy through tickets to anywhere in the country and most tickets (except certain special offers) can be used on all companies' trains.

Trains are more expensive than buses or coaches - and can be very expensive for journeys to London at business travel times - but it is often possible to save money by travelling at quieter times and by buying tickets in advance, especially if you are willing to travel on nominated trains only.

Timetable and fare enquiries can be made by telephone on 08457 484950 or via the internet by visiting http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

For international journeys a good site for information is http://www.bahn.de/ (German Railways)
