Private Recruitment Agencies

There are hundreds of private agencies in the UK which will help you find a job. Worcestershire has many such agencies. When you call them, they will probably ask you to arrange a time to go and visit them, and you can speak directly to them about the type of work you are looking for. For an up-to-date list of local agencies, visit http://www.yell.com/ and search for "recruitment agencies" located in Worcestershire.

European Employment Service

Jobseekers from countries within the EEA (European Economic Area) can access jobs via the EURES (European Employment Service) system. EURES is the network linking the public employment services in Europe. Its role is to help people move freely and to take up work in other member states of the EEA.

Vacancies are displayed in Jobcentres, on public employment service national databases and on the EURES website www.europa.eu.int/eures. If you would like further information on the EURES system you can contact the Jobcentre Plus West Midlands Regional EURES Adviser, Lorraine Morris, on 0121 4525410 or e-mail lorrainemorris1@jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk. separator

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

For certain jobs, employers will want to see a CV or resume. This is a brief account of your professional or work experience and qualifications. Many websites offer help with producing a CV, e.g. http://www.alec.co.uk/index.htm, or http://www.instantcv.co.uk/. If you sign on with a recruitment agency they will be able to advise you.
