Local Area Agreement
News: Our LAA 2008 - 2011 has been refreshed and has been approved by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government. Changes have been made to over half of the indicators. A Local Area Agreement is a three-year agreement that sets out the priorities for a local area. It is negotiated with Government, represented by Government Office West Midlands, and a local area, represented by local authorities and their partners working through the Worcestershire Partnership. Worcestershire's LAA 2008 - 2011 has been through its first annual refresh and was approved by the Secretary of State in April 2009:
Worcestershire's second Local Area Agreement covers the period 2008 - 2011 and was signed by Hazel Blears, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, at the end of June 2008:
Worcestershire’s first Local Area Agreement (LAA) was signed by the Worcestershire Partnership in April 2006. This agreement has been superseded by the new agreement above, except for the reward targets which will continue until 2009. In April 2007, the Worcestershire Partnership and Government reviewed the LAA and agreed certain changes.
