Local Area Agreement

News: The Department for Communities and Local Government has approved Worcestershire's second Local Area Agreement, covering the period 2008 - 2011.

A Local Area Agreement is a three-year agreement that sets out the priorities for a local area.  It is negotiated with Government, represented by Government Office West Midlands, and a local area, represented by local authorities and their partners working through the Worcestershire Partnership.

Worcestershire's second Local Area Agreement covers the period 2008 - 2011 and was signed by Hazel Blears, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, at the end of June 2008.  Click on the links for more information.

Worcestershire’s first Local Area Agreement (LAA) was signed by the Worcestershire Partnership in April 2006. This agreement has been superseded by the new agreement above, except for the reward targets which will continue until 2009.
