The following is a breakdown of forecasts and major initiatives to be undertaken to improve ease of access to the countryside:
- Undertake the 'Parish Improvement Programme', a five-year rolling programme of maintenance and improvement of public rights of way to include new gates, stiles, signpots and bridges in 40 parishes in 2006/07
- Undertake large scale capital works schemes to address long standing infrastructure issues such as large bridges and bridleway surfacing
- Production of a definitive map for Worcester City
- Publication of the draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan
- Launch of the Ribbesford Circular Trail, which is accessible to pushchairs and some mobility vehicles
- Expand volunteering opportunities by organising practical work parties
- To launch the Worcestershire Wardens partnership initiative
- Retain Green Flag Award status Waseley Hills Country Park and Worcester Woods County Park
- Secure new service level agreement, including funding provision, for the managemtn of St Wulstan's Nature reserve
- Liaise with Landowners and the public regarding Open Access Land
